EMERGENCY WATERSHED PROTECTION (EWP) PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE
Chimney Rock Village is working with the USDA-RCS to implement the EWP program. The watershed impairments that EWP can address are limited to those that create an emergency by impairing flows and threatening lives, public health or property. RESOLUTION REGARDING CHIMNEY ROCK STATE PARK ACCESS
At the Chimney Rock Village Council Meeting Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Village Council unanimously approved the following Resolution: The Council requested the most expedient access and recommended a preferred connection for direct access to the Chimney Rock State Park from Chimney Rock Village. The preferred location would begin where the destroyed Southside Bridge connected to US Hwy. 74A/64/9 and would cross the Rocky Broad River with a temporary bridge to a point that provides immediate access to the existing State Park Entry Road. NEW DEADLINE FOR SBA PHYSICAL DAMAGE LOANS - APRIL 27
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is extending the physical damage loan deadline for disaster declarations affected by the 2024 federal funding lapse. The new deadline to apply is April 27, 2025.​ To apply online, visit the SBA website. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email: disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance.

​​​​​SHORT-TERM RENTALS APPLICATION
The Chimney Rock Village Council approved the ability of the Zoning Administrator and the Planning Board to begin taking applications to re-establish Conditional Use Permits for Short-term Rentals after March 1, 2025. The revised application is now available. The fee is $100 until June 30, 2025. The fee will return to $300 on July 1, 2025. The updated application could be subject to further updates. Learn More

Private property and commercial business owners in Chimney Rock Village impacted by Tropical Storm Helene, have a NEW free option for debris removal.
