Planning your Visit
There would be no Chimney Rock Village without our visitors. The existence of our community evolved around the decades of visitors clamoring to see and get to the 315-foot monolith that rises above our quaint village.
The Hickory Nut Gorge and the Western North Carolina region are a welcome retreat for outdoor enthusiasts thanks to our incredible scenery, variety of outdoor activities, and a strong sense of community.
Specifically contained within this stunning backdrop we call Hickory Nut Gorge, is the thriving heartbeat of our area - Chimney Rock Village and its sister community, Lake Lure.

Our friendly and fun little village has a unique vibe and history all its own. Lying directly below the famous vistas of Chimney Rock Mountain, the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park is in the heart of the village.

And it contains almost three miles of the scenic Rocky Broad River, which is the prime source of water into Lake Lure.

Our quaint and quirky village welcomes you with its delightful assortment of locally-owned restaurants, outdoor cafes, bars, attractions, shops, and services.
A Word About Parking - Please be aware that due to ongoing road and building construction related to Hurricane Helene, parking spots in the village fill up quickly. In addition to the parking alongside Main St., there is a public parking lot next to Chimney Rock Smokehouse.
